Timesheets in the field app

Log hours your way: on a job, on a project, or on their own.

Field app

Joris RoodCo-founder
“Running a field business comes down to managing hours. This is the first step towards a timesheet that fills itself in.”

Hours used to be a simple prototype in Riffle. Now technicians get a full timesheet in the app, and every hour ends up in the right place without the Office chasing anyone.

Three ways to log hours

  • On a work order. When a technician sends an update on a job, they can mention the hours they worked, and those hours are linked to that work order straight away.
  • On a project. Hours that belong to a project but not to one specific job can be booked on the project directly.
  • On their own. Some hours have nothing to do with a job, so technicians can also add hours, leave or sick time directly from the app.

A week at a glance

Hours has its own page in the app's bottom bar. Technicians swipe between weeks, see the week's total by type (worked, leave or sick), and see each day grouped by job or project. Adding hours takes a few taps: pick the day, set the start and end times, done. Times step by the 5, 10 or 15 minutes your company sets in the Office.

Travel time included

Travel time is taken into account, so the timesheet shows the whole working day, not just the time on site.

Straight into your systems

Approved hours sync to the integration you work with, like Syntess, so payroll and invoicing start from the right numbers.

To get started, open Hours in the Riffle app's bottom bar.

See it run on your own jobs.
